On April 8-10, 2025, Poznań will host NetZero Energy and the 4th edition of the Central European Hydrogen Technology Forum H2POLAND - the most important event in Central and Eastern Europe dedicated to hydrogen technologies, sustainable energy transition and industrial decarbonization. In this context, a strategic cooperation agreement between TÜV SÜD Polska and Veolia Polska Group will be officially signed on April 8, 2025, on the grounds of the Poznań International Fair.

The planned partnership between TÜV SÜD Polska and Veolia Polska will focus on jointly developing safety standards and implementing innovative, low- and zero-carbon solutions - particularly those based on hydrogen technologies. The agreement responds to the growing market needs for energy transition and the need to build public and regulatory confidence in modern energy infrastructure. The partnership entails multi-level cooperation in the key areas of decarbonization, achievement of ESG goals and development of safe and sustainable technology solutions. The goal of the initiative is to jointly set directions for a responsible energy transition in Poland, based on consistent technical, environmental and regulatory standards.

The Veolia Polska Group, a leader in heating, environmental and energy services, and TÜV SÜD Polska, an international certification body, will combine their competencies to jointly support the development of hydrogen infrastructure - particularly in the heating, industrial and public transport sectors.

The event will be attended by:

  • Krzysztof Zamasz, PhD, Commercial Director of the Veolia Group in Poland, Vice Chairman of the Board,
  • Robert Żmuda, Member of the Board of Veolia Energy Contracting Poland Sp. z o.o.,
  • Mieczyslaw Obiedzinski, President of the Board of Directors of TÜV SÜD Poland,
  • Paweł Piotrowicz, Energy market and hydrogen technology expert at TÜV SÜD Polska Sp. z o.o.

The scope of the planned cooperation includes, among others:

  • joint efforts to decarbonize energy and industrial systems,
  • development and implementation of technical and operational safety standards,
  • integration of ESG criteria in investment and implementation processes,
  • co-creation of certification frameworks and quality standards for hydrogen projects,
  • education and promotion initiatives for sustainable development of low-carbon technologies.

The signing ceremony will be one of the key points of the H2POLAND program, confirming the growing role of cross-sector cooperation and the importance of consistent standards in achieving climate goals and the hydrogen economy.
