9.04.2025, Poznań, MTP, PCC, level 2, stage 1, 3:40-4:30 pm
Panel description
Hydrogen is recognized as one of the key fuels of the future that can play a fundamental role in decarbonizing the economy. However, from a technological, environmental and economic perspective, its production and use are not without controversy. In particular, the question of what “color” hydrogen should be - green, blue or gray - is the subject of intense debate.
The panel “The future of hydrogen - is it worth sticking to green?” invites discussion of hydrogen's role in the energy transition and the importance of remaining green and therefore fully compatible with sustainability and CO2 reduction. During the session, experts will discuss how green hydrogen can become a pillar of the clean economy, the current market situation and the challenges facing its production and widespread use.
Purpose of the panel
The purpose of the panel is to address key issues related to the future of green hydrogen, identify opportunities and challenges in the production of this fuel, and discuss the best paths to its widespread implementation. The panel will provide an opportunity to share experiences and identify actions that can accelerate the development of green hydrogen in Poland and around the world, as well as to assess whether it is worth sticking exclusively to the green direction or looking for other technological solutions.
