Hybrid renewable energy in the Enea Group

A new photovoltaic installation was built on the wind farm in Darżyno (Pomeranian Voivodeship).

Enea Nowa Energia, a company from the Enea Group, has completed the construction of a new photovoltaic installation. Located on the Darżyno wind farm belonging to the Group (Pomeranian Voivodeship), the new installation with a capacity of 2 MW uses the same connection as the wind farm. Thanks to the use of the cable pooling solution, i.e. combining two renewable energy sources within one connection, Darżyno's transmission capacity is used more effectively.

PV Darżyno consists of 3,636 photovoltaic panels (each with a capacity of 550 Wp) and a container transformer station. The 2 MW installation, built on a modular support structure, will generate approximately 2 GWh of electricity annually. This production volume will meet the energy needs of approximately 850 households, which corresponds to nearly 45% of the energy demand of residents of the surrounding Potęgowo commune.

The new 2 MW photovoltaic installation, together with the operating 6 MW wind farm, create a hybrid renewable energy installation. The connection for both is located in the so-called subscriber station from which energy is transferred to the network via a common medium voltage cable. The use of a cable pooling solution increases the efficiency of transmission.

– Our photovoltaic farm in Darżyno, as a hybrid facility, will allow for maximum use of the production potential of several renewable energy sources. This is a modern solution that brings effective results both at the investment and production stages - emphasizes Wojciech Gąsowski, vice-president for development, acting president of Enea Nowa Energia.

Enea Nowa Energia is a company from the Enea Group that manages projects based on renewable energy sources (RES): hydroelectric power plants, biogas plants, wind farms and photovoltaic farms. The company's branches are located throughout Poland. The company is working on further generation installations, photovoltaic and wind projects. This includes: PV Dygowo I, PV Jastrowie II and the Bejsce wind farm, which will increase the generating capacity of the RES segment in the Group by 36 MW. At the end of the third quarter of 2023, the installed capacity of the Enea Group in renewable energy sources was 499 MW.
