Competition for the purchase of zero-emission extra-urban buses continues

This is the fourth edition of the NIP competition aimed at supporting the purchase of buses and charging/tanking infrastructure.

According to the competition guidelines, potential applicants under the call can be:

New extra-urban bus routes, including those connecting a city, a neighbouring municipality and at least one other non-neighbouring municipality.
Replacement of rolling stock on existing extra-urban bus lines, including those connecting the city, a neighbouring municipality and at least one other municipality other than a neighbouring municipality.
The PKS 4.0 intake assumes a maximum number of zero-emission bus rolling stock of 57 units, with a total threshold of 579 zero- and low-emission rolling stock in the investment. This threshold is set out in Council Implementing Decision 2024/0158 (NLE) of 1 July 2024.

According to the competition assumptions, potential applicants under the competition can be:

organisers of public collective transport: voivodeships, poviats, associations of poviats, poviat-municipal associations, inter-municipal associations, communes,
operators of public collective transport.


The amount of support under the call amounts to PLN 551,750,699.73, while the maximum level of support is 95% of eligible expenditure.
